For those who feel they’ve outgrown fairy tales, there’s a diverse entertainment program:
Jugglers, stilt walkers, bards, contemplative brass musicians, alphorn players, Perchten, and spectacular fire shows
transform the castle grounds into a stage of fantasy.

Don’t forget Floki, the interactive snowflake, which reacts to visitors’ piano playing with a light show, as well as our oversized Advent calendar, which offers new surprises every day.

At the numerous market stalls, you’ll find traditional handicrafts — not mass-produced goods, but lovingly crafted items,
—that you can use to surprise your loved ones this Christmas.

There’s plenty to satisfy your appetite:
a wide variety of food and drinks — both at the booths and in the tavern and the Kaltenberger Ritterschwemme.

All of this—combined with the enchanting atmosphere created by thousands of lights against the magnificent backdrop of Kaltenberg Castle — makes the Kaltenberg Christmas Market unique and one of the most atmospheric markets in the region
for the young and the young at heart.

Important Information for Bus Companies

There are only a limited number of bus parking spaces available for tour buses this year.
Use is permitted only after prior registration.

Please purchase your group tickets in advance by phone at 01806 113311 or by email, and be sure to confirm your bus parking space at that time.

Buses that have not registered run the risk of not being able to find a parking space on the event grounds.

As part of the registration process, you will receive:
• your group tickets,
• as well as a binding confirmation that a parking space has been reserved for your bus.

Important Information for Unregistered Buses

Buses that have not been registered run the risk of not being able to find a parking spot on the event grounds.
In this case, the bus must find an alternative parking spot in the surrounding area on its own.

Directions & Drop-off for Guests

Tour buses can drop off their passengers near the main entrance.
Please allow plenty of time to find a parking spot if you have not received prior confirmation.

Hours of Operation

This year, the Enchanting Christmas Market at Kaltenberg Castle will open its doors on all four Advent weekends (November 27–December 20) as well as on the additional weekend of December 26–27, transporting visitors into a magical Christmas world at every turn.

• Friday: 4:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.
• Saturday: 12:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.
• Sunday: 11:30 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Additional Weekend: Saturday, December 26 · 12:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. and Sunday, December 27 · 11:30 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Groups & Discounts

Groups of 20 or more adults are eligible for our group rates (see table). Groups of 40 or more adults receive a 20% discount on the adult rate—please inquire.

Bus drivers ride for free, as do children 15 years old and younger.

Note: All prices are for advance sales. Tickets purchased at the box office cost €2.60 more (excluding children, teens, and people with disabilities). Admission is allowed until 30 minutes before the venue closes.
